WWE announced that Sting will be their first inductee for the Hall of Fame Class of 2016
In an exclusive announcement via WWE.com ‘The Icon’ is confirmed as their first inductee for the Class of 2016.
After his first match at WrestleMania, Sting was defeated by Triple H then soon after went on to face Seth Rollins at WWE Night of Champions only to come out of the match with a career threatening neck injury.
“We are truly honored to have Sting take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame,” Paul “Triple H” Levesque told the WWE website. “His contributions to our industry are unprecedented, and we look forward to celebrating his incredible career with fans all over the world.”
WrestleMania season is now underway with the Royal Rumble close by, and no doubt plenty more inductees announced in the coming months.
