Two top independent stars sign with WWE and join the NXT Performance Center.
As per WWE Backstage and reports earlier in the day, Timothy Thatcher & Killer Kross have both signed with WWE and will report to the Performance Center.
There’s no word yet on when Thatcher will make his WWE NXT debut, but Thatcher is at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. The 36-year-old Thatcher has turned down WWE offers in the past, but WWE’s Senior Director of Talent Development Canyon Cemen, and WWE’s Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting William Regal have had him on their radar for a while. Thatcher has competed for EVOLVE, MLW, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, wXw, RevPro, PROGRESS and many others.
BT Sport WWE has ramped up speculation by posting this tweet:
Killer Kross on the other hand joins his partner, Scarlett Bordeaux, on the WWE roster. It has been rumoured ever since she joined the compnay that Kross would follow with the constant speculation that he would have to change his name to something more P.G.
On WWE Backstage (As above) he was announced as such. Kross has been with the WWE once before in a tag team match with Darren Young vs. The Ascension (No Contest). Kross was previously with Lucha Libre USA, Impact Wrestling and recently Major League Wrestling.
