Former NXT Champion defeats Rey Mysterio at annual Christmas house show
We have a brand new United States Champion in WWE as Andrade defeated Rey Mysterio at the annual post-Christmas show.
Inside Madison Square Garden, Andrade won his first title post-NXT when he got his boots up during a Mysterio frog splash and hit the hammerlock DDT for the win and the title.
Madison Square Garden’s post-Christmas show is no stranger to a title change, as AJ Styles beat Kevin Owens for the same belt in 2017.
