In an update from our previous post, Nigel Huddleston has responded and addressed further questions on the phased re-opening of British Wrestling during the current Coronavirus pandemic.
Wrestling of this kind (Professional Wrestling) is tricky to define as it sits across policy areas. I can only comment on the situation in England…
Wrestling training schools that are similar to gyms and sports halls have been allowed to open since July 25. These facilities can offer on-site services to customers, provided they are COVID-Secure and follow government guidance found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-on-phased-return-of-sport-and-recreation
…
In terms of both schools and events, promoters will also need to consider the government’s performing arts guidance, found at https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19.
Finally, in any of these schools that are for Under 18s, then it would require looking at the Education’s out of school settings guidance: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-for-parents-and-carers-of-children-attending-out-of-school-settings-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak/guidance-for-parents-and-carers-of-children-attending-out-of-school-settings-during-the-coronavirus-covid-19-outbreak
