On April 20, 2021, DreamHack announced DreamHack Beyond. This will be an All-Digital, Interactive Experience. The Experience will be from July 24-31, 2021. The full week will include tournaments, LAN Party, Streaming Studio, Cosplay Championship, Livestreamed Music and Film Screenings, Expo, Panels, Game Demos, and additional content.

The online event started on July 24, 2021. DreamHack collaborated with award-winning Super Crowd Entertainment for DreamHack Beyond to create this hybrid between reality and fantasy. The first day there were some minor technical issues but were quickly resolved, as they were reported during the event.

Super Crowd Entertainment provided an interactive platform that regardless of any bugs or issues was interesting, fun, and successful. People have not been able to obtain social interactions at their favorite conventions, esports communities, or off line tournaments. This interactive game highlighted a small substitute to that and included sponsors, game highlights, event highlights, and even screenings.

Expo hall and twitch channel were fantastic additions to the interactive platform. Which provided an informative and welcoming experience.

“The goal for all of us at DreamHack is to provide great experiences for our fans, which have traditionally thrived by bringing communities together for these shared and beloved festivals all around the globe,”-Marcus Lindmark, President DreamHack, SVP Project and Event Operations at ESL Gaming

Tournaments were also held during the week of Dreamhack Beyond. Guilty Gear Strive providing one of the highest viewership for the week at Dreamhack Fighters and leading up to the Killer Instinct invitational tournament.
