WWE tweeted out at around 7pm GMT, that legendary Hall Of Famer and wrestler, Dusty Rhodes has passed away today at the age of 69.

    Virgil Riley Runnels Jr, AKA Dusty Rhodes held pretty much every Championship in the NWA and had legendary feuds with Ric Flair. To having a long extended backstage role with WCW, and the WWE. His awards are countless, and was one of the true faces of the 70’s, and 80’s scene. He was one of the biggest stars in the Florida regional territory and booked Jim Crockett Promotions in the 80s and WCW in the 90s.  He’s been working in WWE developmental for years as promo coach. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007.

    Dusty sadly leaves behind his 2 sons, Cody Rhodes and Dustin Rhodes, and his wife Michelle. We wish nothing but the best for his family and friends at this time.

    Update; The Wrestling Observer, is reporting that Dusty took a fall this morning in his house earlier today and his kidneys were shutting down and he started to get dehydrated.

    A True Legend, and one of the greatest Babyfaces of all time.
