WITH THE BUZZ AND THE EXCITEMENT OF THE FIRST WWE PPV OF THE YEAR ONLY TWO WEEKS AWAY, I THOUGHT IT’D BE FUN TO PARTAKE IN GIVING MY PICKS AND THOUGHTS ON WHO I THINK WILL WIN THE FIRST EVER WOMEN’S ROYAL RUMBLE.

I’ve been extremely vocal on the importance of another “first” for the entire WWE Women’s roster, but this is a different spin on all of that. They all bring something unique to the division, making it hard to narrow it down. So here are my Top 5 choices (In no particular order).

    Nia Jax

The force behind “Team Rude”, is certainly not to be looked over. Despite being severely underutilized, we’ve seen how much of a threat Nia can be. Especially when it comes to taking on and being ready for Asuka. With the now on-again, off-again friendship with Nia and Alexa Bliss, we could see the proverbial female megapowers explode at the grandest stage of them all.

    Candice LeRae

With the “One Tough Cupcake” nickname, Candice has not only paved the way for “Intergender wrestling”, but has proven that with LITERAL blood, sweat, and tears, you can accomplish anything. Making it into the quarter finals of last year’s “Mae Young Classic”, it was announced that as of January 16th, 2018 she was officially signed with WWE.  Although not yet announced for the Rumble, she’s my “surprise” pick to take it all.

    Asuka

This is arguable the most logical choice, and more than likely the odds on favourite. Being absolutely dominant since stepping foot into WWE, Asuka has remained undefeated. It’s difficult to even imagine who could possibly take her down. Yet to have a main roster women’s title under her many accomplishments, she seems to be heavily favored to be the first Women’s Rumble winner.

    Becky Lynch

Sadly as of late, the “Inaugural” Smackdown Live women’s champion has been completely lost in the booking shuffle. She was “injured” by the Riott Squad and has come back to SmackDown Live roster with mixed success. We all know how much talent and passion she has, and hopefully again that will change. I would love to see her be the underdog and once again prove everyone wrong.

    Naomi

Completely breaking out from her “Team B.A.D.” days, Naomi not only brings the “glow”, but extreme athleticism and energy into every match that she’s a part of. She had her “WrestleMania moment” ‘last year by returning from a knee injury to win the gold at ‘Mania in her hometown of Orlando, and despite all obstacles, she’s more than deserving to pull off a Rumble win.
