Who wouldn’t want to be in The Undisputed Era right now?

Ever since they burst onto the scene in 2017, they have been one of the most dominant factions in recent memory. With Adam Cole holding the NXT Championship, Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly holding the NXT Tag Team Championships, and most recently Roderick Strong winning the NXT North American Championship, the group now holds all of the major titles on the black-and-yellow brand.

But could now be the right time to bolster their ranks? Rumors have floated around for years as to whether or not there would be a potential women’s stable member. Even though there aren’t that many options to choose from at the moment (minus NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Baszler), I’ve come up with five potential women who could be The Undisputed Era’s fifth member!

    5. Marina Shafir

So, I figured I would get an obvious choice out of the way first.

Many fans know that Shafir is married to Roderick Strong and both have a son together. While that would be the main reason why most would put her on this list, I am not one of those people.

Her and Jessamyn Duke have been by Shayna Baszler’s side since they debuted with NXT last year, but they really haven’t done much else. Granted, they’ve been consistently having matches at Florida house shows, but they aren’t doing anything once they show up on NXT TV. They’re either doing run-ins or are just standing in the ring while Baszler cuts a promo.

Maybe if Shafir (and possibly Duke as well) move out of the champ’s shadow and into a new group entirely, they might be able to gain a little more exposure in and out of the ring. While it’s highly unlikely this will happen, it doesn’t hurt to throw the idea out there.

    4. Taynara Conti

Up next is a woman who hasn’t seen TV time in quite a while.

Conti definitely has the skills, as she holds both a black belt in judo and a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. However, that hasn’t translated into her breaking through in NXT. She has sporadically appeared on NXT TV, with her most recent appearance coming on September 4th in a losing effort against Bianca Belair.

I’m sure some of you might ask why I would include Conti on this list. Some may remember that she has some history with The Undisputed Era. Let’s go back to the fall of 2017; Sanity and UE were feuding at the time. That October, Nikki Cross was in a triple threat match with Peyton Royce and Liv Morgan to earn a spot in the fatal four-way match for the vacated NXT Women’s Championship. Conti would make her NXT TV debut during that match, interfering on the behalf of The Undisputed Era and costing Cross in the process.

The two would have a match on the November 1st, where Cross would get her revenge on Conti. But after that, it was as if nothing ever happened. The incident wasn’t mentioned afterwards and it faded from the collective memory of most wrestling fans.

So why not have her confront The Undisputed Era and tell them that they owe her for what she did all those years ago? She might have to prove herself before that, but it could be a way to get her TV time on a consistent basis.

    3. Liv Morgan

Then we look at a woman whose career could use a much-needed boost.

Morgan was a part of NXT from 2014 to 2017 before being called up to SmackDown Live with Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan as a member of The Riott Squad. The group was drafted to RAW several months later and were a part of various feuds with the likes of Bayley, Sasha Banks, Natalya, the Bella Twins, and Ronda Rousey.

In April 2019, Morgan was drafted back to SmackDown Live, which disbanded The Riott Squad in the process. Her first and only major appearance on the show came that July, where she confronted Charlotte Flair and lost in the subsequent match between the two.

Since then, we have not seen or heard from her on WWE programming besides her posting on her social media accounts. Creative must not have anything for her at the moment, so maybe sending her back down to NXT wouldn’t be a bad idea.

They did it with Tyler Breeze and Fandango, so it’s not completely out of the realm of possibility. Morgan can be extremely cocky and confident when she wants to, which means she would fit right in with Cole, Fish, O’Reilly, and Strong. Hanging around with them for a little while might help breathe new life into her career.

    2. Deonna Purrazzo

Next, we have The Virtuosa herself.

Purrazzo signed with NXT last May and competed in the second annual Mae Young Classic, losing in the quarterfinals to Io Shirai. She would then make sporadic appearances on NXT and NXT UK TV, with her last major televised match being against Rhea Ripley in December.

Since then, she formed a group with Chelsea Green and Rachel Evers called VXT. Her and Green continued to use the group name even after Evers was sidelined with an injury.

If recent Florida house show match-ups were to give us any indication, Purrazzo might be currently looked at as a heel. She’s been competing against Tegan Nox as of late, who is clearly a face right now.

So, what better way to return to TV and make a statement than by joining The Undisputed Era? Someone as methodical in the ring as Purrazzo would feel right at home, as the guys would definitely help her develop a more vicious side to her meticulous style.

Adding The Virtuosa would make the group even more dangerous and could help create some pretty interesting storylines down the road.

    1. Chelsea Green

Finally, we come to Purrazzo’s VXT partner in crime.

Green was signed to NXT in August 2018 and made her NXT TV debut the following March. However, she broke her wrist during the match and had to undergo surgery the following day. She returned in June and began teaming with Purrazzo and Evers.

Much like her teammate, it seems as if she might be a heel as well. If she were to go back to her psychotic character, it might be just what The Undisputed Era needs to become even more dynamic than they already are.

She could easily be their wild card, much like what Nikki Cross was to Sanity. It’s only a matter of time before she returns to NXT TV, and how crazy would it be if she were to join the brand’s most powerful faction?
