“New F’n Show” Jerry Lynn. A former Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) World Champion, World Wrestling Federation (WWF) Light Heavyweight Championship holder and former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) veteran, Jerry Lynn brightened the X Division and the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) tag team during the promoter’s early years. Born on June 12, 1963, in Minneapolis, in the US state of Minnesota, Jeremy Lynn (his real name) debuted in the ring on March 23, 1988, and insisted on retiring precisely 25 years later.
On the verge of turning 40, he signed for the newly created TNA and was in time to win the TNA X Division Championship twice and the NWA World Tag Team Championship twice, alongside AJ Styles and Amazing Red. At the same time, he was part of the team that won the World X Cup in 2004.
After a first stint with the company between 2002 and 2007, he returned to fight in TNA in 2010 and 2011 and in a match against Rob Van Dam in 2013.

t the second weekly NWA TNA pay-per-view, AJ Styles captured the then-named NWA–TNA X Championship by defeating Low Ki , Jerry Lynn and Psicosis in a Double Elimination match.
The following week, Styles and Jerry Lynn won the NWA World Tag Team Championship by defeating the team of Bruce and Lenny Lane in the final of the tournament to determine the new champions.
In the weeks that followed, Styles successfully defended both titles, but began falling out with Lynn during tag team matches. During the month of July, Styles retained the X Championship against David Young, Low Ki , Elix Skipper. After Phenomenal One defeated Skipper on July 31, Lynn appeared to congratulate him before facing Low Ki .

On the seventh weekly NWA TNA pay-per-view , on July 31, AJ Styles interfered in the match between Jerry Lynn and Low Ki by attacking his tag team partner, Lynn, but ended up also being assaulted by Low Ki, which led to the scheduling of a match between the three for the title the following week.

On NWA TNA’s eighth weekly pay-per-view , Low Ki captured the X Championship , when he landed on Jerry Lynn. Two weeks later, AJ Styles and Lynn faced off in a best-of-three series of matches to determine the top contender for the title . Lynn won the first, a Falls Count Anywhere match, while Styles won the second, a no disqualification match. Finally, they tied 3-3 in a ten-minute Ironman match.
In view of this equality, a ladder match was scheduled between Low Ki , Jerry Lynn and AJ Styles for the X Championship .

At NWA TNA’s 11th weekly pay-per-view , Jerry Lynn captured the NWA–TNA X Championship by defeating then-champion Low Ki and AJ Styles in a ladder match .
Almost a month later, at the 14th weekly pay-per-view, AJ Styles beat Low Ki in a best-of-three match to become the main contender for the title and asked for the title match to be a ladder match .

NWA–TNA X Championship : AJ Styles (c) vs. Jerry Lynn
At NWA TNA Weekly PPV #15, AJ Styles defeated Jerry Lynn in a ladder match in which Lynn’s NWA–TNA X Championship was on the line, but authority figure Bob Armstrong announced that, due to Sonny Siaki’s interference, Lynn remained champion. .

Jerry Lynn vs. Sean Waltman
At the previous pay-per-view , No Surrender, Jerry Lynn was named the guest referee of a match between AJ Styles and Sean Waltman, with Styles winning after Lynn’s help.
On the July 22 episode of Impact! , Waltman accused Lynn of trying to steal the limelight from him, while Lynn claimed credit for Waltman’s success, claiming that he was the one who helped launch Waltman into the pro wrestling industry thanks to a series of matches between the two that were highly acclaimed by the public . criticism.
