Latin American Xchange (LAX) was born at the end of 2005, when Konnan left 4Live Kru and founded a new stable with the returning Apolo and the newcomer Homicide. In February 2006, Machete joined the group, but it was after the acquisition of Hernandez a month later that the group gained expression in the tag team division of the formerly named Total Nonstop Action (TNA).

With characters that were intended to be illustrative of the Latino presence in the United States, the members of LAX complained about discrimination in TNA, in a plot created at a time when there was already a great controversy around illegal immigration. At times anti-American, at times public darlings, Homicide and Hernandez held the NWA World Tag Team Championship twice and the TNA World Tag Team Championship once between 2006 and 2009.

It is therefore worth remembering the ten best matches of this version of the Latin American Xchange, LAX in TNA, in chronological order.

    Victory Road 2006
The Latin American Xchange (Homicide and Hernandez) vs. Sonjay Dutt and Ron Killings

Konnan invited Ron Killings to join LAX. After Killings rejected the offer, he was attacked by the LAX. The LAX also tried to give Sonjay Dutt a similar beating, but Killings interfered and made the save , which led to the booking of a tag team match between the duo of Homicide and Hernandez and that of Killings and Dutt.

Hard Justice 2006: NWA World Tag Team Championship:
AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels (c) vs. The Latin American Exchange (Hernandez and Homicide)

On the July 20 episode of Impact! , tag team champions AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels issued an open challenge to any team that wanted to face them for the titles. The LAX responded and attacked the titleholders, leaving them bloodied, even signing the contract for the match, to take place at Hard Justice, with Daniels ‘ blood.

No Surrender 2006: Ultimate X match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship:
The Latin American Exchange (Hernandez and Homicide) (c) vs. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels

At Hard Justice, Styles and Daniels beat LAX to retain the belts.
However, the duo of Hernandez and Homicide got the upper hand on the August 24 episode, winning a Border Brawl and capturing the NWA World Tag Team Championship.
A week later, Styles and Daniels triggered the rematch clause, and an Ultimate X match was scheduled between the two teams for No Surrender.

Bound For Glory 2006: Six Sides of Steel match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship:
AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels (c) vs. The Latin American Exchange (Hernandez and Homicide)

At the No Surrender pay-per-view , in the first Ultimate X tag team match in history, AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels got the better of LAX and regained the NWA World Tag Team Championship.

That said, a final confrontation between the two duos was scheduled for Bound For Glory , this time in a Six Sides of Steel match.

    Destination X 2007: Ghetto Brawl:
The Latin American Xchange (Hernandez and Homicide) vs. Team 3D (Brother Devon and Brother Ray)

On the January 4, 2007 episode of Impact! , Homicide was facing Brother Runt [Spike Dudley] in a Street Fight when Hernandez interfered and Border Tossed Runt onto a ladder, thus marking the beginning of a rivalry between LAX and Team 3D , at a time when Homicide and Hernandez were champions tag team and the duo consisting of Devon and Ray was the main contender.

In the first match between the two teams, at Final Resolution, LAX retained the NWA World Tag Team Championship by winning by disqualification, after an apparently intoxicated Brother Runt appeared and applied a Diving Headbutt on Homicide.
Days later, on Impact! , LAX beat Team 3D again . The same outcome occurred at Against All Odds , when Hernandez applied a Border Toss in Devon and made the consequent winning settlement.

However, the feud continued, with LAX members attacking family members of Team 3D elements , including an uncle of Brother Ray , Devon’s trainer (Johnny Rodz) and Brother Runt.

On the February 23 episode, Team 3D beat LAX in a Lumberjack match with elements of the “Latin Nation” and the Italian family (in allusion to Brother Ray ‘s roots ) playing lumberjacks , and a Ghetto Brawl was later scheduled between the teams. two doubles for Destination X.

Bound For Glory 2007: Ultimate X match
The Latin American Exchange (Hernandez and Homicide) vs. Triple X (Senshi and Elix Skipper)

A fight that didn’t need a big backstory . Both LAX and Triple X had been defeated in a ten-way gauntlet match at the No Surrender pay-per-view to determine the top contenders for the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Bound For Glory . Meanwhile, an Ultimate X was scheduled between the two teams for Bound For Glory to determine the next top contenders.

    Destination X 2008
The Latin American Xchange (Hernandez and Homicide) vs. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. The Rock ‘n’ Rave Infection (Jimmy Rave and Lance Hoyt)

A fight without much history in its origin. It was simply scheduled for Destination X, on the last episode of Impact! before the pay-per-view , a three-way dance between LAX, Motor City Machine Guns and Rock ‘n’ Rave Infection to determine the top contenders for the TNA World Tag Team Championship , then held by AJ Styles and Tomko.

Hard Justice 2008: TNA World Tag Team Championship :
The Latin American Xchange (Hernandez and Homicide) (c) vs. Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode)

On the June 12, 2008 episode of Impact! , James Storm and Robert Roode teamed up to challenge LAX for the TNA World Tag Team Championship and were declared winners, but the match was restarted due to interference and ended up being won by LAX. After the match, Roode and Storm attacked LAX and the champions’ manager, Héctor Guerrero.
Director Jim Cornette scheduled a “Fan’s Revenge” Lumberjack title match between the two duos for Victory Road , with LAX having the upper hand again.

However, on the July 17 episode, the so-called Beer Money began attacking several wrestlers, staff members, and fans in retaliation for their loss at Victory Road , also returning to attack Héctor Guerrero until LAX saved him. Two weeks later, Beer Money defeated Christian Cage and Rhino to receive a TNA World Tag Team Championship opportunity at Hard Justice.

On August 7, three days before the pay-per-view , LAX, Christian and Rhino defeated Roode , Storm and Team 3D in an eight-man tag team match, but after the feud Roode and Storm threw Homicide on top of a glass table, injuring his right eye.

Bound for Glory IV (2008): Monster’s Ball match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship :
Beer Money, Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode ) (c) vs. Abyss and Matt Morgan vs. The Latin American Xchange (Hernandez and Homicide) vs. Team 3D (Brother Devon and Brother Ray) (Steve McMichael as guest referee)

At Hard Justice, Beer Money defeated LAX to capture the TNA World Tag Team Championship . At the next pay-per-view , No Surrender, Beer Money again defeated LAX. At the same event, Abyss and Matt Morgan defeated Team 3D .

However, on the September 18 episode of Impact! , Matt Morgan announced that TNA was going to hold a Tag Team Invitational Tournament at Bound for Glory and that he and Abyss were going to participate, but it was interrupted by Team 3D , who also announced their participation. On the same night, Beer Money and their manager Jacqueline attacked LAX manager Héctor Guerrero.

A week later, Team 3D announced that they would face Morgan and Abyss in a Monster’s Ball match at Bound For Glory . In the same episode, Beer Money defeated LAX in a match in which the defeated team would lose its manager , so Héctor Guerrero stopped accompanying Hernandez and Homicide.

However, on October 2, director Jim Cornette announced the cancellation of the tournament and scheduled a Monster’s Ball match for the TNA World Tag Team Championship between Beer Money , LAX, Team 3D and Abyss & Matt Morgan for Bound For Glory .
Later, former football player and wrestler Steve McMichael was announced as the guest referee.

Slammiversary XVI (2018): 5150 Street Fight for the Impact World Tag Team Championship:
The Latin American Xchange (Santana and Ortiz) vs. The OGz (Hernandez and Homicide)

In March 2017, LAX was reformed, with the faction consisting of Homicide, Santana, Ortiz, Diamante and manager – Konnan.

In May 2018, King became the newest member of the group and even assumed leadership of the group at a time when Homicide, Diamante and Konnan were out of action. While leading, he helped Ortiz and Santana become tag team champions.

In June, Konnan and Diamante returned to action, but were suspicious of King’s intentions. On the July 5 episode of Impact , King admitted that he had been the one to attack Konnan to take control of the faction. King still tried to get Ortiz and Santana to recognize him as the leader of the group, but they rejected it and remained on Konnan’s side.
However, two members of the original LAX, Hernandez and Homicide, returned to Impact Wrestling and attacked Konnan, Ortiz and Santana, thus joining King and forming The OGz.
