TWM’s Jameus Mooney recently sat down with independent wrestling sensation Kidd Bandit, who has burst onto the wrestling scene with a bang in the past year. Bandit, aptly named The Protagonist of Pro Wrestling, spoke with Jameus about a myriad of topics in the very first episode of the re-booted TWM Talks Indies.

Among other topics, Bandit spoke in detail about the rebirth of their character, what it means to be a major representation within the sport of professional wrestling and the pandemonium one faces when working creative in an independent wrestling company.

Kidd Bandit, whose real name is Robynn, is a professional wrestler known for their vibrant persona and high-energy performances in the ring. Bandit has quickly garnered attention in the wrestling community for their unique blend of athleticism, charisma, and distinctive style, which incorporates elements from anime and video games, reflecting their diverse interests and background.

Bandit started their wrestling career relatively recently but has already made a significant impact. They trained at the Santino Bros Wrestling Academy, a well-regarded institution that has produced numerous successful wrestlers. This rigorous training provided Bandit with a solid foundation in both technical skills and in-ring psychology, which are evident in their performances.

A notable aspect of Kidd Bandit’s persona is their androgynous, non-binary presentation. Bandit uses they/them pronouns and openly discusses their identity, contributing to greater visibility and representation for non-binary individuals in the wrestling world. This openness has endeared them to a broad fanbase and has made them a role model for many fans who see themselves reflected in Bandit’s journey.

In the ring, Kidd Bandit is known for their high-flying maneuvers and fast-paced style. Their finishing moves and signature techniques often draw inspiration from anime and pop culture, creating a dynamic and entertaining spectacle for the audience. Bandit’s character work and storytelling abilities enhance their matches, making them memorable and engaging.

Outside of wrestling, Bandit is also active on social media, where they share insights into their life, training, and interests. This interaction with fans helps build a strong connection and solidify their presence as a rising star in the wrestling industry.

Overall, Kidd Bandit is a refreshing and innovative talent in professional wrestling, combining athletic prowess, creative flair, and an authentic representation of their identity to create a compelling and inspiring figure in the sport.
