I’m back with this week’s SmackDown Live Investment rate.

Following an improved Extreme Rules, and Raw, things are certainly starting to look up. How will Eric Bischoff affect the life for the superstars on the blue brand? Let’s reflect and see how it’s rated.

    THE GOOD

As promoted prior to SmackDown starting, Shane McMahon would be hosting a Town Hall Meeting. This was a chance for the blue brand to have their opinions heard by Shane. It was obviously going to stare up some problems, of course.

Of course, Roman Reigns was one of the superstars to speak. He was, in fact, one of the first to speak, and said that none of the superstars even respected him.

Charlotte Flair began to suck up to McMahon but was interrupted by Liv Morgan. You might remember Liv, a former member of the Riott Squad, who no one has seen since the draft. Yeah, her, well she interrupted her.

Prior to this, Kevin Owens was given the night off, and then attacked Shane McMahon to close the segment.

Overall, this was good but it could have been used more effectively. It was mainly used to set matches up for the rest of the night.

Then we had a rematch between Cesaro and Aleister Black, which was a great match at Extreme Rules. It was a good matchup, which ended up with Aleister Black winning the match-up again. It’s turning out to be a good storyline, which is finally seeing some good wrestling.

Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan we’re both finally back in action. We actually have two women who could put on a good match up. Charlotte came out the winner, leaving Liv Morgan defeated. Could we be seeing a rivalry on our hands? We shall see, especially with the mysterious words from Liv saying we will see “The real her” soon.

After being outnumbered by Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose, Ember Moon revealed she would have a tag team partner for tonight’s episode. It was revealed to be the current, SmackDown Live Women’s Champion, Bayley. What a duo, Bayley and Ember Moon.

What turned out to be a good match between the four women, saw Bayley and Ember win the match.

It was confirmed by Bayley that her next opponent for the Championship would be Ember Moon. This was confirmed for the SummerSlam card. Finally, a women’s championship match that I’m looking forward to!

Following their victories at Extreme Rules, The New Day is at the top of the world right now. Tonight saw the trio face off against Samoa Joe, Elias and Randy Orton. An interesting match, seeing three superstars who you wouldn’t usually put together.

This was due to the fact that all three men wanted a championship opportunity against Kofi Kingston. How good would Randy Orton v Kofi Kingston be? I’m here for this.

Randy Orton got the win for the team with an RKO on the champion. So, this must be our SummerSlam WWE Championship match then.

    THE BAD

Do you remember when the WWE re-introduced the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships? They were going to be a big deal for the women’s division. Well, I can’t remember the last time The IIconics even wrestled or did anything useful. Don’t get me wrong I’m a massive fan of the duo but seriously.

Tonight the championships were on the line, which meant business for the duo. They were against The Kabuki Warriors, along with their manager, Paige. I think that Asuka and Kairi Sane would make good champions, if booked right and if Paige is used in the right way.

I felt that The Kabuki Warriors should have won the match because I’m getting bored with the current champions.

I’m not a lover of the Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens feud. The reason behind it is because both were unable to knock Kofi off his thrown so now they have no choice but to feud.

However, in tonight’s episode, it was Shane that ended the match in a no-contest.

So, do we have a Dolph and Kevin feud, or is it Shane and Kevin? Why does Shane have to be involved in so many feuds? it’s getting boring now.

Other honourable mentions were Daniel Bryan not announcing his career-defining announcement. As well, the confusion of the Andrade and Apollo Crews matches. Why isn’t Andrade in any title picture?

    INVESTMENT RATE:

I have to say that the blue brand is going from strength to strength every week. The women’s division is slowly getting there by using the talent that they have. However, the tag team women’s division needs serious development.

What has gone for me is the tag team element in the blue brand. The other week, I had such a positive vibe about it, but it has now vanished.

The middle and main card are both going strong and we are seeing good matches between the talented superstars. However, there is some confusion of some of the decisions being made.
