AEW star set to be out for six to nine months, per average recovery time

    All Elite Wrestling star Kris Statlander is set to be out the majority of 2020 due to a high grade ACL tear.

    First reported by PWInsider, Statlander confirmed the news on Twitter saying;

    “Since the news is out. I told you I’d dive on Kip again and dammit I did. But in doing so, I ended up with a high grade tear in my ACL. Yes I need surgery. Yes I’ll be out of the ring for a while. I’ll do my best to still show up on your TVs as much as I can. @AEWrestling”

    The injury occured on last weeks Dynamite where during a tag match between her and AEW Women’s Champion HIkaru Shida against Nyla Rose and Penelope Ford, Statlander dove onto Kip Sabian on the outside, and landed awkwardly on her knees.

    The average recovery time for a high-grade ACL tear is six to nine months, so we would assume she will be out for the rest of 2020. However, nothing has been confirmed so hopefully it is sooner.

    The Wrestling Movement wish her a speedy recovery.
