In sad news, the Cauliflower Alley Club has confirmed that James “Kamala” Harris has died, aged 70.

Although no information relating to his death has been released, Harris had a number of health complications. He lost both legs to high blood pressure and diabetes, and in 2017 he was placed in intensive care after fluid was removed from around his heart and lungs. In 2019 a GoFundMe campaign was started by Brian Blair to help with medical bills. The target was reached in less than a month, thanks in part to a sizeable donation from Chris Jericho.

Kamala wrestled from 1979 through to 2010. During this time he worked for every major promotion in North America, including the WWE, WCW, NWA, and Stampede. During his career, he held the NWA United States Tag titles, NWA Southeastern Heavyweight title, and NWA Mississippi Heavyweight title.

Working for some of the biggest promotions during the 80s and 90s, Harris worked alongside and opposite some of the biggest names in wrestling including Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, Kerry, Kevin, and Mike von Erich, Randy Savage, Sting, Jim Cornette and Lex Luger to name a few.

We at The Wrestling Movement wish to extend our condolences to James’ family and friends at this time.
