Scurll seemingly wrestled his last match for ROH on Friday’s ‘Final Battle’.
‘The Villian’ Marty Scurll made a shocking appearance at tonights NWA Into The Fire pay-per-view, confronting the NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
Following Nick Aldis’ successful defence of the belt in a two-out-of-three falls match against James Storm, Aldis bragged that no one could beat him. However, the lights dimmed and out stepped Scurll to a thunderous ovation.
Marty Scurll’s ROH contract has been the subject of much speculation the last few months, with it’s expiry date reportedly being the end of this year. Many assumed this Friday’s Final Battle would be his last ROH show, and with this appearance it all but confirms it.
Scurll is a former ROH Television and was a current one-third of the Six-man Tag Team Champions, as well as reigns as PROGRESS World Champion and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion.
