Scurll’s contract with ROH expired in November 2019

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, ‘The Villain’ Marty Scurll has signed a new contract with Ring Of Honor which will not only have him stay with the company as a wrestler but will make him the ‘lead booker’.

Scurll’s contract with ROH expired last year but he has continued to work with the promotion and was advertised for events as far out as April. The length of Scurll’s new contract is unconfirmed.

There have been several reports also saying this deal would have Scurll earning ‘WWE main roster’ money.

Delirious, who was previously the head booker of the company, will remain with ROH in a creative capacity and work alongside Scurll. Scurll was reportedly heavily involved in Saturday’s show in Atlanta and the free event in Baltimore on February 9th is reportedly his idea.

Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer recently reported that Scurll’s new contract offer would allow him to also work for New Japan Pro Wrestling and the NWA. Scurll made a shock appearance at ‘Into The Fire’ in December to confront NWA Champion Nick Aldis. Aldis also appeared at this past weekends ROH show in Atlanta.
