Hawkeye

Until Phase Four, only two members of the original Avengers sextet had yet to have their stories expanded in a solo film or series – Black Widow and Hawkeye.

    Marvel Hawkeye

Black Widow, of course, has a solo film, but Hawkeye has instead been granted a Disney+ series.

This won’t be an origin story though, as it will be set after the events of Avengers: Endgame with Clint Barton passing on the torch to a protegee, Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld).

Whilst paving the way for a new hero, the series will also further explore Barton’s ‘Ronin’ character from Endgame.

Interestingly, Florence Pugh’s yet-to-be-seen ‘Black Widow’ character, Yelena Belova is also set to guest star.

    Moon Knight

Turning the page into 2022, there is a debut for Marc Spector, otherwise known as Moon Knight.

The series will consist of six episodes, and Oscar Isaac has been cast in the title role. However, little else is known at this early stage.

A millionaire entrepreneur and expert detective, Moon Knight has often been compared to DC Comics’ Batman, though he is far from just a carbon copy.

Moon Knight has not yet appeared in live-action.

    She-Hulk

    SHE Hulk Marvel

Much of the MCU’s Phase Four will be about passing the torch and welcoming a new bunch of characters.

Bruce Banner might not have been killed off or retired in Endgame, but the introduction of character She-Hulk could eventually lead to Banner stepping back.

Mark Ruffalo will have a presence in the series, as will a former MCU villain – Tim Roth’s Abomination from 2008’s Incredible Hulk – but this ultimately revolves around Banner’s cousin, Jennifer Walters.

Tatiana Mastany, famous for sci-fi series Orphan Black, will bring She-Hulk to life on the small, and later, the big-screen.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

Pretty much what it says on the tin, really.

Director James Gunn is back in the hot seat, marking his first Marvel venture upon his return to the franchise after being fired in 2018.

All the main cast of the Guardians of the Galaxy will return, and the holiday special will be set between the events of Vol.2 (2017) and the upcoming Vol.3.
