Former Fight Club Pro ring announcer and current PROGRESS commentator to make step up.
Matt Richards will officially replace Jim Smallman in the PROGRESS Wrestling creative team with immeadiate effect and become the promotions new ring announcer after chapter 100.
It was announced at tonight’s Tuesday Night Jaw taping with Jim Smallman, that Richards will be replacing him as one of the three creative minds behind PROGRESS, alongside Jon Briley and Glen Joseph.
He took to Twitter to thank everyone for the well-wishes and clarify that although he is a part of the creative team, he is not a co-owner of the company.
Matt Richards is a former professional wrestler who has been commentating for PROGRESS Wrestling since December 2016, and has recently replaced Smallman in another capacity as the presenter of the Distraction Pieces podcast ‘Tuesday Night Jaw’.
