After three years Hellgreaser, one of the debut Horror Punk bands of Germany, returns with their new album Hymns of the Dead. The album debuted today after the release of the single “Her Other Side”. The last single release is the perfect tone to describe the listen of this album.
Hymns of the Dead has set the example in what we shall be hearing from the next new release of Horror Punk albums coming from now to 2025. The album is incredibly well-produced. Hellgreaser does an unreal job of storytelling in the list of tracks, captivating listeners of all generations. Lyrically, horror punk songs tell tales of terror, blending rebellion with the macabre, appealing to those who enjoy both punk’s energy and the thrill of horror storytelling.
A standout horror punk album should captivate its listeners in a dark, macabre world filled with melodies, aggressive punk rock instrumentation, some cases a Doo-wop sound or influences, and lyrics that explore themes of horror or the supernatural. When you have the supernatural anything and everything is probable.

The flow of this album has a smooth transition per song. Tracks one and two provide aggressive punk rock instrumentation. Once you hit Her Other Side, you get into the traditional sound of second-wave horror punk. Moving on after Hymn of the Dead, a song celebrating the community and Hellgreaser themselves.
Recommended tracks: Dead Like You, Her Other Side, Hymn of the Dead, Leader of the Lost Boys, and Forever and a Day.
