It was revealed today by Tokyo Sports that New Japan Pro Wrestling President Kaname Tezuka has resigned.
Tezuka was only leading the company for a transitional period since September 2013, and his successor Katsuhiko Harada is already in place.
This news comes after Shinsuke Nakamura has officially signed with WWE NXT, and the company have also seen the departures of members of the Bullet Club such as AJ Styles, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
New Japan also announced the first round matches for their upcoming New Japan Cup tournament, which kicks off on March 3rd at the company’s anniversary show from Tokyo:
