The three-day event was originally postponed from May to August

PROGRESS Wrestling’s annual three-day tournament Super Strong Style 16 will not happen this year, after it was revealed their entire summer programme has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

DICE first announced the news to those who have bought tickets that the events have been cancelled. PROGRESS then confirmed the news on their social media accounts.

The event had originally been moved from May to August 29th, 30th and 31st but with no sign of life returning to normal this year, a tough decision has been made.

In addition, they have also announced that all summer shows and their US tour have all been cancelled as well.

This is the first time PROGRESS will not hold a Super Strong Style tournament since it’s inception in 2016. PROGRESS had announced Jonathan Gresham, Chris Ridgeway, Travis Banks, Sonico, Rampage Brown, Ilja Dragunov and Paul Robinson for the field before it’s cancellation.
