Former Diva’s Champions Set To Be Immortalized at WrestleMania weekend

Potentially the most polarising Hall of Fame announcement in years; The Bella Twins. Nikki & Brie Bella (Stephanie Nicole Garcia-Colace & Brianna Monique Danielson) are going into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The announcement was made on SmackDown, when Alexa Bliss made the announcement during ‘A Moment Of Bliss’

Nikki Bella, 2 times Divas Champion (One at 301 Days) and #1 in the PWI Female 50 in 2015 enters the Hall of Fame alongside her Sister, Brie Bella, a former Divas Champion in her own right and #11 in the same PWI Female 50 issue. Nikki was always shown as the more Wrestling savvy of the two and had high profile matches with AJ Lee, Natalya, mixed tag matches with ex-fiance John Cena and most recently Ronda Rousey (Arguably her shining moment in the ring).

Both brought millions of fresh eyes to the product after the success of Total Divas and their own spin-off Total Bellas (Both renewed for many more seasons) and their contributions to the “Women’s Revolution” have been monumental after what was a dark time in Women’s Wrestling history.

This decision has divided the audience, with some saying these two do not deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. However, with their mainstream appeal and notoriety in the industry, it’s hard not to argue that Nikki and Brie have not left their mark on the wrestling industry.

This years WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on April 2nd at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
