At Hard to Kill, Hammerstone was just there for a match against Josh Alexander. He was not under contract, there was no title on the line. If he didn’t win that match, he caught the attention of TNA Wrestling’s backstage team and fans as he was offered a contract a month later.
With his signing report came a rematch announcement against Josh Alexander. Hammerstone was able to even the score in a hard-hitting match at Sacrifice on March 8. Despite taunting Alexander at every turn, Hammerstone seemed disinterested in offering him another match.
But things changed when Hammerstone was accused of being scared after refusing to answer Alexander’s open challenge. Hammerstone agreed to a rematch with Alexander but it would be on his terms at Rebellion on April 20 (we just learned it will be a Last Man Standing match).
