Impact Wrestling has released Tessa Blanchard effective immediately, according to many sources.

A statement issued to PWInsider.com reads:

“Impact Wrestling confirmed that it has terminated its relationship with Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of the Impact Wrestling World Championship.”

The 24-year-old was due to defend Impact’s top title at the Slammiversary PPV on July 18th but hadn’t been present at TV tapings since the start of the global pandemic. And, as documented by other sources, had been having other difficulties with management.

Blanchard’s contract was due to expire on June 30th.

TWM will bring you more on this news as we get it.
