Pierre Carl Ouellet, also known by his ring name PCO, is a Canadian professional wrestler. Born on December 30, 1967, in Sainte-Catherine, Quebec, Canada, Ouellet has had a long and varied career in the wrestling industry. He is best known for his time in World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) during the 1990s, where he was part of the tag team “The Quebecers” alongside Jacques Rougeau. The team won the WWF Tag Team Championship three times.
PCO’s career spans several decades, during which he has wrestled for various promotions around the world, including World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), and several independent circuits. He is known for his incredible toughness and ability to reinvent himself, which was notably demonstrated when he revived his career in the 2010s with a new character inspired by Frankenstein’s monster. This reinvention led to a resurgence in popularity, and he found success in Ring of Honor (ROH), where he won the ROH World Championship in 2019.
PCO is celebrated for his high-risk style, resilience, and ability to connect with wrestling fans across different eras and promotions. Throughout his career, PCO has demonstrated remarkable versatility and adaptability. After initially gaining fame in the WWF as part of The Quebecers, he also competed under the name Jean-Pierre Lafitte, portraying a pirate character. His career saw ups and downs, including stints in WCW and the independent circuit. However, his transformation in the 2010s into the PCO (Perfect Creation One) character breathed new life into his wrestling journey. This persona, characterized by a monstrous, unkillable image, earned him a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim. PCO’s resurgence culminated in his winning the prestigious ROH World Championship, solidifying his legacy as a wrestling icon.
