We are coming to the tail end of the Rugby World cup.

Here are TWM we have looked at our WWE, NJPW and Britwres XV’s.  Now it’s time for the people who lead the way for us today. We look towards the legends of the squared circle.

    1. Bam Bam Bigelow

With the size and stamina for Bam Bam Bigelow in your front line, you’re bound to start off any scrum on the front foot.  With Strength in spades, moving this man-mountain will be a challenge for any opposing scrum. He can gain the physiological advantage over his challengers, as well as anyone staring into the intimidating tattoo on the dome on his head will surely be frozen on the spot

    2. Big Boss Man

Who better to organize a line-out than a former county prison guard?  With this no-nonsense approach, he’ll be able to get his fellow teammates into position to take the ball perfectly in the air.  You want someone who would be able to will be able to easily talk down to his opponents as if they were prisoners.

    3. King Kong Bundy

Another colossal man to help bring that bulk in the front row.  With the sheer size of him, it’ll be hard of the other side to get even one step forward in the scrum.  For a man of his size, he also has quite a bit of pace behind him so he would be great for charge downs.

    4. Kevin Nash

Height, height and more height.  That’s the name of the game in the second row.  Going with Big Daddy Cool, Diesel AKA Kevin Nash. He’ll be there to drive his feet down in the scrum and push forward, whilst also being a fantastic option to break the gain line when working through the phases 5 metres out.  His is long arms you can expect him to gain a few turnovers each match. Let’s just hope his knees hold out.

    5. Giant Gonzalez

Standing at 8 feet tall, Giant Gonzalez was one of, if not the tallest wrestlers to have ever lived.  Is he the most mobility? Not by a long shot. With that height though, any line out is going to end up in your favour.

    6. Razor Ramon

I sometimes think that people forget how big The Bad Guy actually was, and being 6 foot 7 inches he would make a fantastic flanker.  He possesses strength and speed which is great for detaching from the scrum as soon as possible. Also, he’ll be key in the tackling process, which leads me onto…

    7. Goldberg

If Scott Hall had speed and strength, then how do we describe Goldberg?  The former NFL defensive tackle will explode out of the blocks to stop opponents.  With his spear, expect the other team to drop a number of balls when taken to the ground, resulting in a good number of turnovers for his team.

    8. Haku

What would a rugby team be without having a hard-hitting pacific islander on the team? Haku would be there to add his weight at the back of the scrum and with relatives such as Nick Williams of the Cardiff Blues playing in the same position, he can call upon them for advice on the game

    9. Shawn Michaels

The scrum-half is the link in the hold time and therefore needs to be at every tackle to direct the player on what to do next. HBK’s ability to control a match would translate to him pulling the strings for his team. Always looking for openings to take advantage of, Michaels would pop out a key pass or run through a tiny gap himself.

    10. Bret Hart

The fly-half is crucial to a team’s game plan.  He is essentially the leader of the backline.  They make the key decisions in the game and therefore needs to remain calm and collected.  Who else but Bret Hart to put here? Always looking in control in the ring, he’ll be able to sort everyone out as if he is organizing the Hart Foundation.

    11. Ricky Steamboat

A fast player with tricky feet to finish off a team’s try. Ricky Steamboat was a pioneer back in his time for his high flying style, consistently putting on match of the night, showcasing his agility. Putting him out on the wing would mean he can use that pace to drift past defenders and use that magical footwork to stay in touch.

    12. Stone Cold

I like my inside centers to be a brute force, blasting through the defensive line to gain a few extra metres.  Stone Cold would simply stomp a mudhole in the opposition. They need to be aggressive tacklers to knock down their opponents, so they drop the ball.  Austin has the perfect move for this in his Lou Thesz Press.

    13. The Rock

The outside centre is a player who is in a similar vein to the inside centre, but generally has a bit more room to move.  This means that The Great One will have a bit more time to make a decision or get ahead of steam ready to run through the pitch.  With his trash talk as well, he would be able to layeth the smackdown on the other team and get under their skin.

    14. Randy Savage

Who else but the guy who stole the show at Wrestlemania 3 with the man on the opposite wing. The Macho Man would add more of a muscular option of the wing, creating a terrifying prospect in the vein of George North.  His slickness running down the touchline would look magical, and he would be able to knock away potential tacklers with his size.

    15. Mr Perfect

The full-back needs to be someone who doesn’t make mistakes. They need to perform under pressure and make crucial decisions such as kicking the ball back or passing out to another play or even run himself.  It’s all in the name. We need perfection in this position as one small mistake can lead to conceding, and what better than someone who is absolutely…well you get the point.
