One of the most iconic figures of the Attitude Era, 4 Time WWE Intercontinental Champion, 7 Time WCW Tag Team Champion and WWE Hall of Famer, Scott Hall, passing has been announced after complications from a Hip Surgery this past weekend. He was 63.
Scott Hall, who was often named as ‘Razor’ in reference to his early 90’s WWE Persona, previously battled many demons in his life, mostly stemming from alcoholism and drug addictions. In the early 80s, he was charged with 2nd-degree murder after shooting a man during an altercation outside of a nightclub in Florida. Hall stated this was self-defence, and the charges had been dropped. Not a stranger to run-ins with police in the past 15 years in his post-career, a positive came after Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) invited Scott Hall to his home to help him get sober and rebuild his life again. There had been no issues since.
On March 13, 2022, Hall was placed on life support in Wellstar Kennstone Hospital, following 3 heart attacks due to a loose blood clot as a result of his hip surgery a week prior, he had a serious fall that broke his hip which was Reported on March 1st by Former professional wrestler and promoter Jerry Jarrett on Facebook; “Just got off the phone with my friend Scott Hall. He fell and broke his hip and he’s in the hospital. Prayers will help him recover“.
Kevin Nash, the lifetime best friend and tag team partner of Scott Hall, announced on his Instagram that “Once his family is in place they will discontinue life support”
In a very late “hope spot”, Dave Meltzer (Backed up by Sean Waltman / X-Pac) announced that Hall had been taken off life support and was “still alive” as of that moment at 8 pm GMT, but sadly, as WWE RAW rolled around, they played the graphic and confirmed the passing.
