RAZOR RAMON VS TED DiBIASE (1993)
In 2014 it very difficult for a WWE match to have the feel that this match did at the time. It wasn’t a match that we’d seen a hundred times before, the recently turned babyface Ramon against the veteran DiBiase seemed like a big, important match. It felt as if a win for The Bad Guy would be a real turning point for him (even if he had already fought for the World Title on PPV by this point in his short WWF career) and you sensed that DiBiase needed the win to prolong the sunset of his long career. Of course we all know what wrestling “is” these days, but rarely do you get an under-card match where so much seems at stake these days.
