ambroseDEAN AMBROSE

‘The Lunatic Fringe’ has caused many a scene since the Shield broke up last month. His constant pursuit of adversary Seth Rollins has made for fantastic television and could really show what both are made of and if they can draw week in, week out.

Both Ambrose and Punk showed on the independent circuit that they had what it takes in the WWE and both have seemingly proved it.

Since the inception of the Shield back in 2012, Ambrose proved that he was the best out of the trio on the microphone. He showed a somewhat edgy quality that made his promos gritty and captivating at the same time. Out of the three he was touted as the one to be the most successful.

By the end of The Shield however, he was seen in a much less impressive light. His promo duty had mainly been handed over to Seth Rollins and his United States Championship run was considered to be a joke due to the rare occasions that he actually defended it. There was a sense of uncertainty over where Ambrose would be placed in the roster after they disbanded but he has managed to prove himself in singles competition.

Ambrose has returned to the gritty promos and great in ring ability he was known for at the start of the ‘Hounds of Justice’, and has possible gone further on the scale than I was expecting. He has shown that singles matches is where he wants to be and he could genuinely excel right now.

Still having to accept that Ambrose has come out of The Shield as the lowest member; Roman Reigns is in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture, and Rollins is Mr. Money In The Bank, he isn’t on top of my list.
