DOLPH ZIGGLER
Dolph Ziggler and CM Punk share one main attribute – confidence.
Ziggler would have never been included in this list a year ago. There was only one moment for him that changed my mind and told me that he could really elevate himself. That was the promo he cut after a Smackdown back in January screamed CM Punk status to me. This was after both of his World Heavyweight Championship reigns.
They also have similar stature once again. Neither is the biggest man in the company. Ziggler is a lot more styled towards Billy Gunn though, who was thought of as Vince’s perfect body for a wrestler. Ziggler is slightly shorter but has a similar body type and hairstyle obviously.
The crowd loves both of them too. After he lost the WHC, Ziggler went through a bit of a lull where nobody really cared because they knew no matter how much they cheered for him he would probably not get another push. Right now fans have started back up because he is stealing every damn show and he’s in the running for the Intercontinental Championship.
The both claim to be the best. Punk’s slogan for a long time was “Best In The World”, which was the title of his DVD as well. Ziggler claims to come out, steal the show and do that every single night. With both, I refuse to disagree. Many an occasion I have thought their catchphrases fit like a glove.
