The only person to have won major titles in the UFC (mixed martial arts), WWE (pro wrestling) and NCAA (amateur wrestling). The Beast, The Next Big Thing; Brock Lesnar was a top figure whenever he was in the service of Vince McMahon’s company, first between 2002 and 2004 and the second since 2012 on a part-time basis.
The son of dairy farmers and German and Polish descent, Brock Edward Lesnar was born on July 12, 1977, in Webster, South Dakota, and began to shine in amateur wrestling, having transitioned to pro wrestling in 2000
Developed by Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he met his future friend and manager Paul Heyman, he rose to the WWE main roster in March 2002 and took just three months to win the King of the Ring tournament, beating Rob Van Dam in the final, and five to win the WWE Undisputed Championship, which belonged to The Rock, making him the youngest ever WWE champion at age 25.
During his stints with WWE, he would go on to win the WWE Championship five times and the Universal Championship on three occasions, in addition to winning the Royal Rumble in 2003 and Money in the Bank in 2019. It is therefore worth recalling the ten best fights of Brock Lesnar’s career, in chronological order.
WrestleMania XIX
WWE Championship: Kurt Angle (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
(If Angle was disqualified, he would lose the title)
At the Royal Rumble, Kurt Angle was successful in defending the WWE Championship against Chris Benoit, while ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar won the Royal Rumble match shortly after he defeated Big Show to secure a spot in the Rumble.
At the next pay-per-view, No Way Out, Lesnar and Benoit defeated Team Angle (Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) in a handicap match that was supposed to be a six-man tag team match until Edge was attacked backstage.
On the March 6 episode of SmackDown! , Lesnar beat Paul Heyman in a Steel Cage match to earn a title shot before WrestleMania XIX. The following week, Angle defeated Lesnar after interference from his brother Eric, as well as Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas, thus retaining the belt. However, on SmackDown! On March 20, General Manager Stephanie McMahon told Kurt Angle that at WrestleMania XIX he would lose the title to Lesnar if he was disqualified or if someone interfered on his behalf.
You already remember the Shooting Star Press halfway across the ring, when Brock comes up short! He landed right on his head. Angle covers for two. Brock fights back into an F5 for the third time. Lesnar wins it after 22 minutes. A career changing match.
SmackDown! (September 18, 2003)
60-minute Ironman Match for the WWE Championship :
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
At WrestleMania XIX, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship that belonged to Kurt Angle through a settlement, after applying a third F-5.
After the biggest event of the year, Kurt Angle underwent neck surgery and didn’t return to the ring until June, but he soon entered the title race, eventually winning it at Vengeance, when he pinned Lesnar after an Angle Slam . in a triple threat match that also involved Big Show. Four days later, on SmackDown!, Lesnar challenged Angle to a rematch. However, Vince McMahon said that Lesnar would first have to beat him in a Steel Cage match where Angle would referee. However, that cage match ended in a no-contest after McMahon and Lesnar attacked Angle. However, Angle and Lesnar met again at SummerSlam, with Angle winning via submission via an Ankle Lock.
After another victory over his rival, Kurt Angle turned his attention to The Undertaker, whom he wrestled in a WWE Championship match on the September 4 episode of SmackDown! However, Lesnar interfered in this match by attacking both wrestlers with a chair, which led to an Ironman match between Angle and Lesnar being scheduled with the title on the line two weeks later.

SmackDown! (December 4, 2003)
WWE Championship: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Chris Benoit
At Survivor Series 2003, Chris Benoit helped Team Angle get the better of Team Lesnar by eliminating WWE Champion Brock Lesnar via submission via a Crippler Crossface.
Four days later, on Smackdown!, Lesnar interfered in the match between Benoit and Nathan Jones and attacked Rabid Wolverine after the duel.
The following week, General Manager Paulo Heyman announced a 20-man Battle Royal to determine the new main candidate. However, Benoit had to beat Matt Morgan in a qualifying match to participate in the Battle Royal, which ended with Benoit and John Cena hitting the ground at the same time. That said, Heyman announced that the two would face each other on SmackDown! the following week to determine the new lead candidate. And on the December 4 episode, Benoit beat Cena via submission, via the Crippler Crossface, and earned the right to face Lesnar that same night with the WWE Championship on the line.
The ref gets bumped and slaps the Crossface goes on, making Lesnar tap. Brock hits a very fast F5 with Benoit landing on his back for a delayed two. With the YOU TAPPED OUT chants making Brock angrier, he puts Benoit on his knee and debuts the Brock Lock, bending Benoit’s knee around his neck and sitting down as a half crab. Benoit passes out as Brock retains the title.
Extreme Rules 2012
Extreme Rules match: John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
On the April 2 episode of Raw, the day after he was defeated by The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII, John Cena asked his opponent from the night before to appear on the scene so he could publicly congratulate him. However, who appeared was Brock Lesnar, who had not stepped foot in a WWE ring since 2004. Lesnar offered Cena a handshake but then gave him an F-5.
The following week, Raw General Manager John Laurinaitis revealed that he had hired Lesnar to bring “legitimacy” and become the “new face of WWE” and further announced that Lesnar would face Cena at Extreme Rules. A week later, it was announced that the duel would be played under extreme rules.
Early on in the match, Lesnar delivered a barrage of elbows to Cena and made him bleed. Lesnar continued to annihilate Cena for a few minutes, but the iconic star staged a surprising comeback. He hit Lesnar with a metal chain and blooded the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Cena pinned “The Beast” after he delivered an Attitude Adjustment on the steel steps. This match received widespread praise from the fans and experts alike. As a result, Lesnar proved that he could still perform in the ring.

‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar vs. ‘The Best’ CM Punk
A match between two Paul Heyman protégés, whose services CM Punk dismissed months earlier. Focused on becoming champion again, Punk challenged Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship, winning by count-out before ‘The Beast’ Lesnar attacked him. Meanwhile, Punk turned for the Money in the Bank ladder match at the Money in the Bank PPV, but Heyman’s interference prevented him from achieving the win.
A day later on Raw, Lesnar returned to attack Punk, who in turn challenged The Beast to a match at SummerSlam, which Heyman accepted on behalf of Lesnar. And already during the PPV kickoff, Heyman announced that both ‘The Beast’ Lesnar and Punk had agreed to make the match a no-disqualification match.
The Finish: Punk chases Heyman around and back into the ring, but walks into an F-5 attempt. But Punk counters into a DDT. Punk pins. Lesnar barely kicks out. Anaconda Vise. Punk’s trying to make Lesnar tap once again. Heyman grabs another steel chair. Punk sees him coming and cuts him off by stepping on that chair. Punk nails Heyman with a hard punch to the head and then puts the Anaconda Vise on Heyman. Heyman taps instantly but Lesnar smashes Punk with the steel chair. F-5 onto the steel chair. Lesnar retains
Royal Rumble 2015
WWE World Heavyweight Championship :
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. John Cena
‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar won the title by defeating John Cena at SummerSlam 2014. Cena got his revenge the following month at Night Of Champions but ended up winning via disqualification after Seth Rollins interfered and attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.
In the ensuing PPV Hell in a Cell, Cena beat Randy Orton in a Hell in a Cell match to earn a future title shot, retaining top contender status at TLC by beating Rollins in a Tables match. Later in the same event, it was announced that Cena would challenge Lesnar at the Royal Rumble.
On the last Raw of 2014, Rollins attacked guest host Edge and threatened to give him a Curb Stomp if Cena didn’t decide to reinstate The Authority, a faction that had lost him at Survivor Series after a team led by Cena won elimination combat. Cena, albeit reluctantly, ended up declaring the return of The Authority. On January 5, 2015, edition of Monday Night Raw, Triple H added Seth Rollins to the title match as retribution for The Authority’s return and fired the members of Team Cena who contributed to the loss of power at Survivor Series (Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Eric Rowan).
The following week, ‘The Beast’ Lesnar, Cena and Rollins signed the contract and were involved in a brawl, with Rollins performing a Curb Stomp on both Cena and Lesnar. However, Cena had his participation in jeopardy, as Triple H forced him to fight in a handicap match against Rollins, Big Show and Kane to not only secure his presence in the title match but also to guarantee the return of Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan. , on the last Raw before the Royal Rumble. The scene ended up winning with a roll-up on Rollins after a distraction caused by Sting, but it was Lesnar who came out on top as he appeared to attack Rollins and apply F-5 to Kane and Big Show.
Rollins went up top and hit a spinning corkscrew splash (Phoenix Splash) on Cena that was very impressive. I want to see a replay of that! Lesnar went into the ring for the surprising save. Lesnar sent Cena outside the ring with a suplex. Rollins nailed Lesnar in the head with a briefcase shot. He hit him multiple times. When Seth ran the ropes, Lesnar popped back to his feet and hit an F5 on Rollins for the successful pin. Lesnar retains the WWE Title by pinning Rollins.
WrestleMania 31
WWE World Heavyweight Championship :
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns (vs. Seth Rollins)
At the 2015 Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena and Seth Rollins. However, Rollins still had in his possession the Money in the Bank suitcase, which guaranteed him an additional title shot whenever he wanted. At that same event, Roman Reigns won the Royal Rumble match, which earned him a title match at WrestleMania 31. On the February 2 episode of Raw, Reigns agreed to put his lead contender status at Fastlane on the line and that same night Daniel Bryan beat Seth Rollins to face Reigns at the pay-per-view.
At Fastlane, Reigns got the better of Bryan and retained the title shot against Lesnar at WrestleMania. Reigns and Lesnar had only two eye-to-eye interactions before WrestleMania, one of which was on the March 23 episode of Raw, in which the two clinched for the belt. Also at WrestleMania 31, Seth Rollins faced Triple H and was defeated, but The Architect’s night didn’t end in that match…

Match to decide the main contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 32: Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
At the 2016 Royal Rumble, Triple H won the Royal Rumble match and captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship by eliminating Dean Ambrose in last place.
The following night on Raw, Stephanie McMahon scored a triple threat match between Ambrose, former champion Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar for Fastlane, with the winner earning the right to face Triple H for the title at WrestleMania 32.

SummerSlam 2017
WWE Universal Championship:
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe vs. Braun Strowman

A champion since beating Goldberg at WrestleMania 33, Brock Lesnar has not defended the WWE Universal Championship regularly. On the June 19 episode of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns proclaimed himself the main title contender at SummerSlam. That same night, Strowman returned from injury and cost Reigns a match against Samoa Joe, challenging him to an Ambulance Match at the Great Balls of Fire . In that PPV, Lesnar beat Samoa Joe for the title and Strowman defeated Reigns, although The Guy ended up later locking Strowman in the ambulance and destroying it with him inside.
That said, the following night Roman Reigns reiterated that he wanted to face Lesnar for the title at SummerSlam, but ‘The Beast’ Lesnar said Reigns didn’t deserve it. Joe also claimed a new opportunity, so Raw General Manager Kurt Angle scheduled a match between Joe and Reigns for the following week to determine the main contender, but the match ended in a No Contest due to interference from Braun Strowman, who attacked the two fighters. With such an impasse, Kurt Angle scored a Fatal 4-Way title match for SummerSlam. However, Brock Lesnar and his attorney Paul Heyman contested the decision, as The Beast would not have to be defeated to lose the belt, and assured that Lesnar would leave WWE if another wrestler emerged champion.
Strowman came very close to winning the match, but Brock Lesnar pulled the referee out of the ring, voiding the pinfall. Samoa Joe again tried to trap Brock Lesnar in his submission move, but the champ delivered an F-5 for the near-fall. In the climax, Roman Reigns hit Lesnar with three Superman Punches, but The Beast countered his spear attempt into an F-5 to win the match and retain his title.
Survivor Series 2018
Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan
A good match originated by the Raw vs. SmackDown. After AJ Styles defeated Samoa Joe to retain the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel and Brock Lesnar beat Braun Strowman to win the vacant Universal Championship, everything seemed to be heading towards a reunion between The Phenomenal One and The Beast, who had faced off at Survivor Series 2017. However, Daniel Bryan became WWE Champion by beating AJ Styles on the last edition of SmackDown before Survivor Series and it turned out to be him who had to face Lesnar at the PPV.
