Torrie Wilson – 2-1-1

A member of the 2019 Hall of Fame, Torrie Wilson is a memorable performer with 20+ years of experience in professional wrestling. Whilst her Hall of Fame induction came as a surprise to some fans, her WrestleMania record is sure to surprise all.

Wilson competed at Mania four times during her career, in matches that have since aged rather horrifically. In those, Wilson won twice, drew once and fell victim to the battle royal curse that has befallen other entries on this list.

Her debut at the event came at WrestleMania XIX as part of a hellacious pillow fight, so barbaric that it went to a no-contest. This was swiftly followed by a Playboy Evening Gown match at Mania XX, which saw Wilson and Sable beat Jackie Gayda and Stacy Keibler in a contest remembered for its showcase of technical wrestling. Two years later and Wilson once again scored a victory by defeating Candice Michelle in a Playboy Pillow Fight, so graphic in its brutality that Terry Funk had to look away.

Whilst we can joke at the retrospective view of these matches, we should remember that they were products of their time. Regardless of match type, Torrie Wilson always gave it her all no matter what and for that we salute her.

    Earthquake – 4-1

I was tempted to remove losses in battle royals for this countdown as it undermines the records of Hardcore Holly, Torrie Wilson and our number two listee, Earthquake.

The over 400-pound John Tenta is one of wrestling’s truly underrated big men. Also known by the names Avalanche, The Shark and Golga, Earthquake is remembered for his size, strength and surprising agility – being one of few individuals his size that is able to perform a perfectly executed standing dropkick.

His record at WrestleMania is almost just as perfect, with an impressive turnover of four wins and one ‘defeat’ (and I use the term defeat very loosely).

Earthquake scored a hattrick of Mania wins by first defeating Hercules at WrestleMania VI, followed by besting Greg Valentine at VII and concluded with a tag team victory with fellow natural disaster Typhoon at VIII. His fourth success would come two years later in Madison Square Garden by defeating Adam Bomb in just 35 seconds at WrestleMania X. Pure dominance from the former Sumo wrestler.

It would be seven years before Earthquake would once again appear at the Grandaddy of Them All, competing in the cult favourite Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania X-Seven. Having received an ovation from the fans in attendance, Earthquake would ultimately be eliminated by Kamala and suffer his first Mania ‘loss’.

    Rob Van Dam – 4-0

What can we say about Rob Van Dam? A true fan favourite throughout his career, the ECW original is one of the most decorated champions in WWE history and boasts a WrestleMania record that few can better.

In an incredibly overlooked but impressive streak, the Whole Dam Show is the owner of a perfect 4-0 record at the Showcase of the Immortals. This began with an Intercontinental Championship victory over William Regal at WrestleMania X8. Two years later, RVD and his partner Booker T successfully defended their tag team titles at WrestleMania XX in a Fatal Four-way match. That two-year gap proved useful again at WrestleMania 22, where Van Dam scored his most memorable Mania win by retrieving the Money in the Bank briefcase, later cashing in on John Cena at One Night Stand 2006 and winning the WWE Championship.

RVD’s final win to date came at WrestleMania 23 alongside fellow ECW originals Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, and The Sandman. The team of four defeated The New Breed to cap off Van Dam’s exceptionally clean Mania record.

Following the end of The Undertaker’s streak in 2014, Rob Van Dam now holds the record for most WrestleMania matches without a loss. Bravo sir!
