Multiple time Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is by far one of the best all-round talents in the WWE today. Delivering not only in the ring but as a character the former NXT star quickly became one of the biggest names in the women’s division and WWE as a whole.
Now, the goddess is no stranger to making an impact when the spotlight is on her and faces Randy Orton in a Fastlane match which is likely leading to her being involved more with the current story between The Fiend and Randy Orton.
One of the ways in which she has stolen the show, is taking on the looks of several different characters from pop culture through her ring gear, but which of them has been her best? Superhero/Supervillain Edition.
Wonder Woman
In two thousand and seventeen fans witnessed a rivalry going down between Naomi and Alexa Bliss with the two competing for and over the Smackdown LIVE Women’s Championship. At the Elimination Chamber despite her loss to Naomi Bliss made sure to channel her inner wonder woman with the red and blue colour scheme she became the superhero of the women’s division despite being one of the biggest and best villains the division has seen in several years.
Chucky
In two thousand and seventeen Bliss showcased her love for horror movies through her ring gear yet again this time, however, sporting the look of Chucky from the Childs Play movie series. Debuting the look in a one on one title bout between Mickie James Bliss sported the colour scheme and dungaree look captivating her audience in a clear horror cosplay for Halloween of that year. As a major fan of both Alexa Bliss and the Chucky movies, this was a pretty cool moment for me to bear witness too! It also made for a collision between Alexa and Mickie.
Iron Man
Payback 2017 saw the continuation of a rather…controversial rivalry between Alexa Bliss and Bayley. While their promos and segments throughout this feud may have been on the cringe side of the scale the two provided fans with some pretty decent content in the ring. During their Payback PPV collision, Bliss sported an Ironman themed ring gear with the red and gold colour scheme and layout. I found this to be a pretty interesting pick of costume especially considering Bayley wore her own Ironman themed ring gear during her NXT Takeover Main event match up against Sasha Banks a couple of years before.
Freddy Kruger
The first time Alexa Bliss really caught my attention through her ring gear was when she sported a Freddy Kruger styled image during her time in NXT alongside Blake and Murphy. From the torn red and black striped jumper to the special hand attire and colour scheme and layout of her actual ring gear, Bliss showcased her interest in horror movies and the look paid off massively. This continues to be one of Alexa’s best and most iconic attires with the former champion bringing the look to life both during her NXT run and time on the main roster.
Harley Quinn
Speaking of iconic Alexa Bliss ring gears, her Harley Quinn look has gone down as one of if not Bliss’ most popular attire. During her first Main roster, PPV Bliss debuted the look and had fans talking! From her hairstyle to the tutu and colour Scheme Bliss left fans completely captivated by her look and we saw her use this image throughout the year. This really was another example of Alexa showcasing what she can bring to her character and how she uses her ring attire to add more to her matches, persona and character work.
Bliss has used characters from pop culture to add to her ring gear and overall image on several occasions and today, we only touched on five!
Who knows what Little Miss Bliss will turn up in next… for now she’s confined to her leather dungarees.
