Imagine if you will my fellow wrestling fans that one day whilst sitting at your desk writing a (clever) article your phone rings. On the other end of the line is William Regal. He tells you he needs your help in recruiting new talent from ROH and would like to know what (magnificent) seven acts you’d take from their roster. Who oh who will you choose? Today, if you haven’t guessed it, I’m going to run down the top seven acquisitions WWE could make from Ring Of Honor.

Mike Bennett
I’m going to level with you. I’m not a huge fan of The Prodigy’s work in general. I find his pacing to be plotting, and his promos come across as trying a little too hard. That said, his in ring technique is like the “main event” style that WWE likes to see from their workers. There is just something intangible about him that has made the ROH faithful dislike him from day one. I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge Michael Bennett’s name recognition. Not HIS name of course, his (soon to be) wife’s name; Maria Kanellis. Hmmm, maybe if he took her last name he’d have a better shot.
Truth Martini
There was a time I feared the era of the manager had passed us all by. But thanks to the stellar work of Paul Heyman, Lana, and Zeb WWE may be realizing how underutilized this role has become. And that brings me to Truth Martini, *the* managerial mainstay in ROH. On the mic his work is close to flawless, if not a tad crass at times. But I’m sure he could PG it up a bit. Fashion sense is also a factor here. Martini is eye catching in a way The Grand Wizard was. Bright outfits that I can only describe as gaudy, top hats missing the top to show his lion-mane like hair, and a myriad of flashy jackets, banana hammocks, and sunglasses. His grasp on ring psychology is top level giving him the ability to incite a crowd. If you’ve seen Truth Martini live you know how fast he can switch from slaying you with laughter to making you wish someone was slaying him.
Cedric Alexander
Cedric has the ability to excel in every inch of wrestling ring. He also has the ability to excel above the ring as well as diving out of it! There are aspects of Cedric that are on the green side, but it’s hard to disagree with how much athletic skill he has at such a young age. He is only going to improve as he gets older. Furthermore, I think he has the unnameable X factor. That little thing that lets a guy connect with an audience and garner a reaction anywhere. Be it tag or singles he is going to look great in the ring, not to mention he’ll make his opponent look like a million bucks.
