PWInsider and Fightful have confirmed that Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli; and formerly Antonio Cesaro) has recently let his WWE contract expire and has opted not to renew. Cesaro leaves WWE after the two sides failed to come to terms on a new contract. As such, his current deal has expired and he’s free to go where he chooses. Cesaro has always been rated highly by everybody, but seemingly not the WWE higher-ups as he had more false dawns than most in the past few.

Cesaro leaves WWE after 10 years, and a multiple-time Tag Team Champion (With Shinsuke Nakamura, Sheamus and Tyson Kidd), as well as a United States Championship reign, and the inaugural André the Giant Memorial Trophy winner. He has won the “Most Underrated” award in the Wrestling Observer Award 3 times during this WWE run (2013-2016).
