She is one of the most highly regarded women in pro wrestling, but she likes to call herself “The Man”. Becky Lynch signed a developmental contract with WWE in April 2013 when she was virtually anonymous, but ten years later she is one of the company’s top stars.

    Born January 30, 1987 in Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Rebecca Quin, her real name, grew up in the suburbs of Dublin and started seeing pro wrestling when she was still quite young.

    After having practiced horse riding, swimming and basketball, Becky Lynch heard that Fergal Devitt ( Finn Bálor ) and Paul Tracey were opening a wrestling school in the Republic of Ireland and started training, with her brother, in June 2002, when he was only 15 years old. Five months later, she made her debut under the ring name Rebecca Knox.

    After passing through British promoter NWA UK Hammerlock, Canadian SuperGirls Wrestling and American Shimmer Women Athletes before signing for WWE. In June 2014, she made her television debut in the company’s rings, on an episode of NXT , and began a successful journey that led her to rise to the main roster in July of the following year.

    Since then, he has won the WWE Raw Women’s Championship twice, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship four times and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship once (alongside Lita), having also won the Women’s Royal Rumble in 2019 . In between, in December 2020, she became the mother of a girl named Roux, whose father is Seth Rollins , whom Becky married in June of the following year.

    NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable (May 20, 2015)
    NXT Women’s Championship: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Becky Lynch

    In October 2014, Becky Lynch allied with Sasha Banks, forming Team BAE (Best at Everything), but the alliance lasted a few months, since in February of the following year Banks caused Becky’s defeat in a fight against Bayley.

    At NXT TakeOver: Rival, Sasha Banks won the NXT Women’s Championship in a fatal 4-way match that also featured Becky Lynch, former champion Charlotte and Bayley .
    Later in April, Becky defeated Bayley and Charlotte in a triple threat match to become the top contender for the NXT Women’s Championship .


    Wrestlemania 32
    WWE Women’s Championship : Charlotte vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks

    On the January 4, 2016 episode of Raw , Becky Lynch defeated Champion Divas Charlotte in a non-title match, but after the match Charlotte attacked Becky. Three days later on SmackDown , Charlotte retained the belt from Becky with help from her father, Ric Flair.
    However, the Irishwoman challenged Charlotte to another title match, at the Royal Rumble . The champion was reluctant, but Ric Flair accepted the challenge on behalf of his daughter.
    At the Royal Rumble, Charlotte successfully defended the Divas Championship, beating Becky after a Spear . After the match, Sasha Banks returned and applied a Bank Statement on Charlotte .

    On the following Raw , a match between Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch ended in a double disqualification after interference from Charlotte , who attacked both of them.
    However, on the February 29 episode of Raw , a match between Sasha and Becky to determine the top contender for the title ended in a double pin . Three days later, on SmackDown , a new match between Sasha and Becky ended in a double disqualification after both were attacked by Charlotte .

    After Charlotte insisted that no one deserved to challenge for the title, a triple threat match between the champion, Sasha and Becky was scheduled for WrestleMania 32 . At the WrestleMania kickoff show , the WWE Divas Championship was stripped and replaced with the WWE Women’s Championship , whose first holder would be determined in the same match.


    Evolution (2018)
    Last Woman Standing / WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship :
    Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair

    On the July 24 episode of SmackDown , Becky Lynch defeated then-champion Carmella in a non- title match, which earned the Irishwoman the right to challenge for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at SummerSlam .

    The following week, Charlotte returned to the WWE schedule after a month and a half absence and saved Becky from an attack at Carmella’s hands. On the same night, Charlotte defeated Carmella and also earned the right to be added to the title match , which thus became a triple threat match.

    At SummerSlam, Charlotte captured the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship, when she landed on Becky . However, after the match Becky attacked Charlotte .
    However, Becky defeated Charlotte to win the title at Hell in a Cell . In the rematch, at the Super Show-Down, Charlotte won via disqualification after Becky attacked her with the belt, which allowed the Irishwoman to retain the title .
    The two faced off again on the episode of SmackDown following the Super Show-Down , in a duel that ended in a double countout , an outcome that again allowed Becky to retain the title .

    However, SmackDown General Manager Paige announced to Evolution another match between the two for the title , a Last Woman Standing , the first in WWE history.


    TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2018
    Tables, Ladders and Chairs match / WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship :
    Becky Lynch (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair

    At Survivor Series, SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was scheduled to face Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey, but after suffering a broken nose and concussion she was replaced by Charlotte Flair, who ended up being disqualified for having brutally attacked opponent .

    On the following episode of SmackDown , Charlotte explained that she attacked Ronda in defense of Becky Lynch, but a week later, she said that she actually did it for herself.
    Initially, a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match was scheduled between Becky and Charlotte for TLC , but the remaining eight women of SmackDown demanded a title opportunity .

    Given this requirement, a battle royal was scheduled between the eight, with Asuka winning. The Japanese thus earned the right to be added to the title match , making it a triple threat TLC match .


    Hell in a Cell 2019
    Hell in a Cell match / WWE Raw Women’s Championship :
    Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sasha Banks

    On the August 12, 2019 episode of Raw , the returning Sasha Banks interrupted champion Becky Lynch and Natalya, having attacked both of them.
    Two weeks later, Sasha beat Natalya, having subsequently challenged Becky to a title match at Clash of Champions .

    At Clash of Champions, Sasha Banks won via disqualification after Lynch unintentionally hit the referee with a chair. But since you can’t win a title via disqualification, Becky remained champion .

    The following night on Raw , Sasha challenged Becky to a rematch at Hell in a Cell . The Irish woman not only accepted, but determined that the stipulation would be a Hell in a Cell match .


    SmackDown (October 15, 2021)
    Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks

    At SummerSlam 2021, Bianca Belair was supposed to defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Sasha Banks. However, Sasha did not appear due to unknown reasons. Carmella was announced as Sasha’s replacement, but, before the match started, Becky Lynch returned to WWE after a year and a half absence – she had been a mother –, attacked Carmella and challenged the champion, having defeated her in 26 seconds .

    Becky refused to defend the title against Bianca Belair, but Belair won a fatal four-way elimination match to become the main contender for the title, having been announced that the match between Becky and Bianca would be at Extreme Rules .

    At Extreme Rules, at a time when Bianca Belair was preparing to apply the Kiss of Death, Sasha Banks attacked Becky and Bianca, causing the match to be in a no contest .
    However, a triple threat match was scheduled between the three with the title at stake for the Crown Jewel , with a match between Becky and Sasha being scheduled for the match that preceded this event in Saudi Arabia .

    WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship:

    On the SmackDown that preceded Crown Jewel , Sasha Banks defeated Becky Lynch, inflicting the first defeat on the Irishwoman since she returned to action at SummerSlam .
    In the inner weeks, Sasha beat Bianca Belair thanks to Becky Lynch’s interference and the three signed the match contract and engaged in a brawl , with Belair making Becky and Sasha cross a table.

    In the antechamber of another Survivor Series that was themed Raw vs. SmackDown , were pitted against the Raw Women’s Champion (Becky Lynch) and her SmackDown counterpart ( Charlotte Flair ).

    WWE Raw Women’s Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair

    After several duels since Becky Lynch returned to the ring at SummerSlam 2021 , both the Irishwoman and Bianca Belair were transferred to Raw in that year’s draft , which led to the Irishwoman exchanging belts with the former Raw champion , Charlotte Flair, who in turn had been transferred to SmackDown .

    Months later, already on the road to WrestleMania 38, Bianca Belair won the Elimination Chamber match at Elimination Chamber to receive a match against Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at the biggest event of the year .


    SummerSlam 2022
    WWE Raw Women’s Championship : Bianca Belair (c) vs. Becky Lynch

    At WrestleMania 38, Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch to capture the Raw Women’s Championship , avenging her defeat at the previous year’s SummerSlam. In the months that followed, Becky failed in several attempts to regain the title. On the July 11 episode of Raw , Lynch caused Bianca to lose via countout in a match against Carmella in which the title was on the line.

    The following week, a new match was held between Bianca Belair and Carmella for the Raw Women’s Championship , but before the duel Becky Lynch stated that she should face whoever was the champion at SummerSlam , having attacked Bianca even before the bell rang. Still, Bianca Belair managed to beat Carmella and promised that she would rewrite what had happened at the previous year’s SummerSlam .
