Since its introduction, numerous WWE Superstars both male and female have left their mark, competing on Shane McMahon’s version of what’s seemingly Fight Club. Although it’s still in its infancy, RAW Underground has already established itself as ‘must-see’ from it’s out of nowhere inception to its gritty shoot style like take on professional wrestling. There are a lot of things however that RAW Underground can do to establish its WWE Superstars, whether that’d be with performers we already know, or up and comers that the WWE are looking to test the waters with, and already it seems as though they’ve already gone that route by showcasing talents by the likes of Dabbo-Kato or Riddick Moss. WWE can utilize this concept to its advantage and rebuild Superstars that have lost credibility, those who have Otherside been floundering and quite possibly introduce a new title particularly for this segment if it wishes to as well. With that being said, let’s take a look at a few Superstars who could benefit from RAW Underground and how WWE can re-establish some of its Superstars on the red brand.
4.) Nia Jax
Nia Jax upon her return really hasn’t done much of anything lately, aside from getting herself heat by injuring Kairi Sane, to getting suspended indefinitely, Nia Jax’s position on the totem pole is relatively low in comparison to her other female counterparts. During the August 17th edition of Monday Night Raw, Nia Jax made her RAW Underground debut, annihilating the competition presented in front of her. From the start, Nia Jax could have been presented as a bad-ass monster, someone who kicks ass as doesn’t care who stands in her way as long as she has gold around her waist. Nia Jax has certainly lost her way in recent time, and an injury in which kept her sidelined kept her out of the minds of the WWE Universe. Perhaps Nia Jax, since becoming suspended, can be a staple in RAW Underground for the following weeks to come, using this time to her advantage to find an edge that she’s been lacking since her return back to Monday nights.
3.) Dabba-Kato
Dabba-Kato, formerly known as Babatunde Aiyegbusi, was a former American football player for the Minnesota Vikings. The near seven-foot polish WWE Superstar who was signed back in 2016 isn’t necessarily quite the household name yet, however, his sheer size is enough to intimidate and with some proper presentation, he could very much find himself becoming an established performer even well passed RAW Underground. Having only competed on television at the Greatest Royal Rumble, RAW Underground’s wacky concept could be a sure-fire way to strap a rocket to the former offensive lineman and have him tackling through the competition possibly on the main roster in no time.
2.) The Viking Raiders
What much else is there to say about The Viking Raiders in 2020?. Having a less than stellar run since making their debut on the main roster, Erik and Ivar haven’t been able to achieve much success since leaving NXT. The duo was able to fantastically show off their skillset and captivate the NXT faithful during their tenure on the black and yellow brand. The Viking Raiders though have had quite the lacklustre impact on Monday Night Raw, having been featured in silly segments involving The Street Profits, and never finding their footing unlike how they did on WWE’s third brand. Since ambushing Dolph Ziggler on the August 17th edition of Monday Night Raw, The Viking Raiders have not looked better, and this could very well be the platform in which they need to take their WWE careers to the next level.
1.) Shayna Bazler
Shayna Bazler is a legitimate bad-ass and needs no introduction. More than capable of holding her own inside the squared circle and octagon, the former MMA fighter and current WWE Superstar had quite possibly one of, if not, the best championship reigns in NXT history. Although her main roster run has been off to a bit of a rocky start, not counting her dominant run in the women’s Elimination Chamber match, Shayna Bazler has not found herself on the receiving end of a victory as far as singles gold goes. Making her RAW Underground debut on the August 10th edition of RAW, Shayna took out her competition with ease, showcasing why she should be featured more on WWE television, and perhaps the possibility of Shayna duking it out with some of the male competitors on RAW Underground as well. If RAW Underground is anyone’s playground at the moment, it’s Shayna’s, and WWE has the blueprints right in front of them to reestablish Shayna as the monster heel in which the WWE needs right now for their women’s division.
