On Friday morning, just before their first WWE Tag Team Championship defence on SmackDown live from Lyon, France, A-Town Down Under’s Austin Theory gave his thoughts on himself, being in France, his challengers of the night, The Street Profits, and many other things.
At WWE Backlash 2024 in France, Austin Theory played a notable role by reigniting his feud with boxing champion Tyson Fury. Theory publicly challenged Fury, blaming him for his failure to win the WWE Championship at Clash at the Castle 2022, where Fury had interfered. Theory taunted Fury, calling him out to meet at this year’s Clash at the Castle event.
Additionally, Austin Theory was involved in a tag team match on the SmackDown leading up to Backlash, where he and his partner Grayson Waller faced off against Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. This match contributed to the storyline build-up for the Backlash event, highlighting Theory’s ongoing participation in key WWE narratives.
