WWE unexpectedly released several notable individuals on September 21, 2023. Below is the list of the superstars who were let go from WWE, including Nic Nemeth, known as Dolph Ziggler.

    Mustafa Ali was the initial talent to share the news, as he used social media on September 21 to announce his departure from the company. Ali was also set to face Dominik Mysterio for NXT North American title but Dragon Lee is now set to face Dominik on the September 25 episode of RAW.

    Shelton Benjamin has also been released by WWE. Throughout his wrestling career, Shelton Benjamin has previously held the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship. He made his WWE debut 20 years ago.

    Nic Nemeth, known more as Dolph Ziggler, a surprising departure, has also been released from WWE. Over the course of his close to 20-year career, Nemeth achieved significant success, including holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship along with multiple Intercontinental and United States Championship reigns.
