In another surprising release this year for WWE, Toni Storm is to leave the company as confirmed by Fightful on the Evening of the 29th December 2021.

Storm wrestled as recently as the 28th, in a losing effort on a house show against Sasha Banks & Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. Toni Storm had recently been feuding with the multiple time Women’s Champion on Smackdown, after being drafted in the recent WWE Draft.

Details on the release are unknown as of this time, but Sean is reporting that the release might’ve been requested & then granted.

The former NXT UK women’s champion opened up about the time during her recent appearance on Out Of Character podcast. She admitted that sitting in catering doing nothing was not a good feeling:

“It’s the worst cause you just don’t know. Obviously, wrestling [can be] so unpredictable. Next week you could be main eventing and winning a title and everything could be happening or nothing. You don’t know. This is show business at the end of the day. It’s a topsy turvy industry. When you’re sat in catering, it’s not a good feeling. Just sitting there waiting for your shot. Waiting for your big break. Waiting to show everyone what you’ve worked your life to be good at. I just sat there [asking] ‘When am I next? What’s happening?’ Now [when] stuff starts happening, I’m still like, ‘what’s going on?’ Oh, my God. What is my life?”
