Drew McIntyre and Sheamus Reignite Feud for the U.S. Title

Sheamus and Drew McIntyre in my opinion, should’ve headlined WrestleMania, or at least some bigger pay-per-view other than Fastlane for the WWE Championship. Sheamus since his return has been on an absolute tear, turning in some of his best in-ring work to date, as well as McIntyre of course, who besides Roman Reigns, Sasha Banks, and Finn Balor has been carrying WWE on his back.

Both McIntyre and Sheamus share a real-life friendship spanning almost two decades, and the two have absolutely bruised and battered each other each time they stepped into the ring together, producing some of the most physical match-ups on both WWE television and pay-per-view in recent memory.

An ideal scenario would be for Sheamus to hold an open challenge for the United States Championship, and who but Drew McIntyre comes out to answer the call, with Drew securing the victory and winning a title that he has yet to win in WWE.

From there, an enraged Sheamus could chase the title, thus ensuring a litany of physical battles which would help elevate the United States Championship to possible heights not seen since when John Cena held the gold, or even when Kevin Owens was champion as well.

This would be a positive for both parties involved as they work well together, and it would bring a bit of prestige to the recently redesigned title that has been missing for quite a while, and although some may see this as a downgrade for Drew, the opportunity is there to create some history for the U.S. Title, and further cement both Drew and Sheamus’s as Superstars who can be relied on for just about anything within the company.
