Entrant #5 – Lita
This was the first surprise entrance in the Woman’s Royal Rumble. She is a legend in Women’s wrestling although, at her time, it wasn’t much progressive. Nonetheless, she had terrific matches at a time where Women’s wrestling wasn’t promoted as much. Lita was also the first woman to eliminate another competitor from the Women’s Royal Rumble match. After the Rumble, Lita made one other appearance for WWE at Evolution where she wrestled Mickie James and Alicia Fox alongside Trish Stratus. This marked her last wrestling match ever. The last we heard of her was in early 2020 when she along with Christy Hemme and Gail Kim tried to launch their new wrestling show called “KAYfABE” but it was unsuccessful because of the restrictions caused by COVID-19.

    Entrant #6 – Kairi Sane
Sane at the time was well known for her outstanding performances in the Joshi wrestling promotion Stardom, but she had yet to make a mark in WWE. She wasn’t a main attraction for the match at the time but people still had their eyes on her because she was the first NXT Wrestler to enter the Women’s, Royal Rumble. After the Rumble, she soon won the NXT Women’s Championship and had a strong run with the belt. Upon promotion to the main roster, Sane formed a tag team known as the Kabuki Warriors with Asuka. These two went on to hold the Women’s Tag Team Championships as strong heels in the Women’s division. However, both of them turned face when Asuka was handed the Women’s Championship by Becky Lynch. Sane had to leave in-ring competition not long after because she had to go back to Japan with her husband. She was written off as Bayley attacked her backstage to distract Asuka from her match against Sasha. She still works for WWE as an ambassador and a trainer in Japan.

    Entrant #7 – Tamina
Tamina had long been the brute of the Women’s division before Nia Jax started getting pushed but she never gained the approval or the green light from management. She did not have a significant role to play in the Women’s Royal Rumble as she only lasted a little under two minutes. Tamina soon tagged with Nia Jax for a while without seeing any championship success. Tamina stayed in the mid-card for a while until last year at WrestleMania where she was in the weird fatal five-way match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Of course, she didn’t win but that was good exposure for her which later landed her a title match again at Money in The Bank. After that, she did not have any major storylines. She barely made it on T.V and when she did it was for filler matches. She was last seen on SmackDown a few weeks ago where she has apparently formed an alliance with Natalya but so far their matches have ended up in losses for them.

    Entrant #8 – Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke entered the match with almost little to no chance of winning. She was one of the entries used to fill the spot. At the time she was the manager of Titus Worldwide. The highlight of her 2018 was getting a title match against Ronda Rousey after a very harsh promo. She, unfortunately, got squashed by Rousey. Brooke didn’t get to receive any more spotlight after that as she was mostly performing on Main Event. However, that seemed to have changed for the better when she was drafted to SmackDown in 2019 where she got more matches on the show. She mostly tagged with Carmella in various matches and even got a tag team title opportunity but failed. In late 2020, Brooke was drafted to RAW where she aligned herself with Mandy Rose along whom she is currently feuding with Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

    Entrant #9 – Torrie Wilson
Another surprise entrant in the first Women’s Royal Rumble match was Torrie Wilson. She is one of the more well known female wrestlers from the Ruthless Aggression Era. During her time with WWE, she never got to win any championships but is still regarded as one of the greats from her time. Her Royal Rumble appearance was received with a loud pop from the fans but she lasted only three minutes in the match. Wilson’s last wrestling match took place on October 28, 2018, at Evolution where she was a part of the Battle Royal match for a shot at the Women’s Championship. She was then inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019. Torrie currently runs her fitness brand Fitensity and her make up brand Ozodo. She was last seen at WWE Legend’s Night on January 4, 2021, making it her most recent WWE appearance.

    2018 Women's Royal Rumble
2018 Women’s Royal Rumble | Sonya Deville as part of Absolution taking part in her first Royal Rumble

    Entrant #10 – Sonya Deville
Deville had much of a similar path to that of Mandy’s. They were both in a tag team for quite a while and well went together. Fire and Desire was going strong and fans were behind them. It was all going good and fine until a spanner was thrown into the works by Otis. Otis entered the mix and it ruined the team. He came in with his macho style and immaculate looks getting Mandy’s attention. Obviously, Sonya didn’t approve of it because Otis was taking her friendship with Mandy away from her. Thus, Sonya did what anyone would. She tried to help Mandy albeit in a bit unconventional manner. Apparently, Mandy had already fallen for Otis and Sonya had no other option but to turn on her best friend. Mandy took it to heart and went all out against Sonya. So in return, Sonya did what made the most sense and cut Mandy’s hair. This led to a feud between the two and came down to a loser-leaves-WWE match at SummerSlam. Sonya lost the match and left WWE for what seemed like a long time. However, just a few weeks ago Deville returned in a managerial role and it looks like she is currently the assistant or the advisor to WWE Official Adam Pearce.
